It’s not every East-Coast developer that has the vision and ability to build luxury condominiums in Vail, Colorado – much less a boutique firm like ours. Perhaps more than any of our other deals, The Willows represents what Triumph is all about – recognizing and creating value where no one else sees it. (For a winter view – roll over the image.)

The Willows of Vail

Old WillowsCertainly The Willows is in one of Vail’s best locations – peaceful and serene, across from Bishop Park with stunning mountain views, yet steps away from the Vista Bahn lift in Vail Village. This deal required us to partner with 26 former condo-hotel owners to redevelop their 36 year old building (seen in image to the right). We custom designed a brand new fractional ownership condominium for the old owners to share, sold nine new condominiums to pay for the deal, and shared the “upside” amongst all the partners. With the upfront neighborhood support we were able to generate, the project was rezoned and entitled with unanimous town approval in record time. Building construction was finished seven weeks ahead of schedule and was right on budget – a rarity in the mountains. Finally – and perhaps most importantly – all of the units were under contract at completion and every unit sold, despite delivering in the financially tumultuous fall of 2008.

This boutique condo was designed to stand apart. It was this creative partnership that won the hearts of our partners at the beginning of the project. It was this unique vision that got the town and our neighbors behind the concept of redevelopment. It was this unique building that attracted luxury condo buyers in a turbulent, slow market. It’s a solid developer that is able to deliver on every promise made to stakeholders along the way.

Even in Vail, it’s possible to raise the bar.
